Gravesham Girls 3
Vinters 1

The penultimate game of the season saw Vinters girls come to stone wreck a sunny day with a little chill in the air, with only 10 girls, Rich and the team new it could be hard, kick off got under way with Gravesham straight into attack with balls from midfield finding Alex & Lacey but nothing came of them, some great tackles from Sav, Maya & Megan at the back proved crucial as Megan was having a good game stopping any attack that came her way and returning it to the midfield, maya was in a world of her own creating something from nothing she would beat her marker, and this is where it starts, Maya takes on one then two plays it to Georgia, Georgia then feeds it to Daisy, Daisy chips one over the top for Alex to run on to, she flies round her marker gets her body in line and pulls the trigger it flies into the top left, 1-0 Gravesham, Vinters straight into attack Amanda gets on the ball takes on Sav and has a one on one with Bex, Bex stands her ground but Amanda slots it passed Bex 1-1. With Gravesham winning the midfield battle Jess, Daisy, Georgia & Mog winning every ball Jess broke thru and unfortunately couldn't get her cross over, but a great show of strength beating 2 players, Georgia had found the length of kick from the Vinters keeper and stopped most things coming thru, Whistle blows for half time.

Second half got under way, Rich's team talk was pretty much keep doing what your doing you are playing well enough to win this game, the girls were keeping possession as well as they could on a very dry pitch, Georgia and daisy working hard as they stopped the ball from reaching Vinters attackers, Georgia spots alex making a run plays it behind the Vinters left back Alex crosses it over, it got half cleared by Vinters, but the ball was put back in by Maya, the ball got pinged around but fell to the feet of Lacey she swung her boot and the ball flew into the roof of the net, right place at the right time, 2-1 Gravesham, Gravesham had corner after corner but couldn't get the 3rd, with 10 min to go Mog makes a great tackle and beats her marker plays it out wide to Alex who gets the ball tangled in her feet but some how turns her marker takes on another crosses over from the by line it bounces to Daisy she controls it and smashes the net for Graveshams 3rd, 3-1 Gravesham, Rich now new the girls had this one now, with Bex catching rays & showing of her pig tails with not a great deal to do the whistle blows for full time, the girls came off shattered with only ten players/warriors deserved a good drink they was greatest of the pitch with a big round of applause, Rich said you gave 110% well done, they were all rewarded with chocolate....(easter eggs) and Maya winning player of the match for her persistent runs.

Gravesham Girls 2
Walderslade 0

Gravesham turned up at stone to face Walderslade, with Walderslade on the girls tail in the league, Rich & the girls new what they had to do. Kick off under way Walderslade broke early which Rich had told Fionnuala & Sav to be aware, which they were the 3 of them work so well together, Rich would say they are the best defence in the league, well he would say that, block after block and even a cheeky return the deffence was solid, Gravesham having most of the play passing it round well all the midfield was getting stuck in a very even match 5vs5 but even Rich new he had the best midfield in the league, and no one can argue that, they were enjoying it being on the big pitch pinging it around finding corners, Jess doing a great job holding off her marker and having some good runs, Zoe also doing the same, always first to the ball and releasing Alex for her runs, DL working as hard as ever..... U gotta love this girl Rich says probably one of the craziest girls he's ever met but great at tackling and getting round her marker, now there's Tats one of the strongest and wisest players in the squad always tackling hard and finding yellow shirts, this is where the first break starts a great ball out wide from Tats to Alex, Alex whipped past her marker with her trade mark...(SPEED) took the ball to the bye line crossed it over lovely but blocked by Walderslade the ball whizzed about then Mog side footed into the net 1-0 Gravesham Walderslade attacked & attacked only for Tats to be solid and win every tackle the ball gets cleared, suddenly Bex goes down.... Throwing up in goal, Andy had warned Rich that Bex wasn't 100% the game was stopped for Bex to take some liquid and get her breath back, Bex carried on but soon later she was sick again, Rich wasn't taking any chances so Bex was subbed & the replacement was OHH YES LACEY BUCKLEY everyone, lace said I'll do it, which relieved Tats!!! Bex swapped shirts and lace was up for the challenge Georgia & Daisy working there socks off some cheeky movement from the pair released Mog in the corner her cross came over but was cleared by Walderslade, Walderslade broke quickly but Sav was there to clear up any loose ball, Sav & Fionnuala have come on leaps and bounds, which leaves Maya a great asset to the team a great all rounder found her self beating her marker and finding DL, if she wasn't chatting to her marker. Then a ball from Tats to Zoe a great ball into Alex who went to the bye line crossed a beautiful ball into Daisy who took it on the volley and smashed it home for Graveshams second, 2-0 Gravesham the ball got passed around in midfield then the whistle blew for Half time, Rich called the girls over for a chat, he said contain number 12 + 8 the games yours if you don't you might struggle to keep the lead but Rich new the girls had all the possession, just keep the ball wide.
Kick off under way the girls went out Megan came on spun around a few times won a few tackles but even she said she wasn't up for playing today, Rich gave her 28 mins the pulled her off Megan came off with a big smile and even said thank you to Rich, not much happened in the second half Lacey scared Rich with a few saves with her legs, but hey there saves still. 16 mins to go Alex pulls up saying she wasn't well Alex came off & replaced upfront by Jess, Rich told her to work hard and you will find the net, and so she did with a few bursts thru but Walderslade keeper had it covered, Georgia working hard trying to get on the score sheet with some creativity by herself to find time & space to shoot, both great shots but the keeper had it covered. I forgot to mention the strikers & what they mean to the team & Rich, an awesome duo with lightning pace great shooting and skills a match for any deffence, the whistle blew for full time a relieved Lacey & deffence had kept a clean sheet, a great effort from all girls, with Lacey winning player of the match for her courage and crazy saves.

Ebbsfleet 1
Gravesham Girls 3

Sun was shining one of the best days of the year so far Gravesham had drawn Ebbsfleet away, the girls new it would be a tough game as Ebbsfleet were pushing for the league title.
Kick off under way there was a good feeling in the air..... Big pitch which suited the girls, straight into attack was Daisy to Georgia, and a great ball out wide to Zoe who found Alex in her stride, Alex drilled it across the box but it was to fast for Mog a great start. Ebbsfleet attacked quickly but only to find the strong line of Maya, Sav, Fionnuala, they were doing what they had learnt to give the ball back to our wide midfielders this was working well as Jess had a few great ones beating her marker and supplying the strikers. Mog a few times outpacing her marker only to find the Ebbsfleet keeper. Gravesham having most of the play, all the girls were working tirelessly, suddenly a break from Ebbsfleet with a ball over the top, left a one on one with Bex, Bex stood her ground and push it safe to Maya who then played it into Georgia a one 2 with daisy released Alex into space she out paced her marker cut inside and smashed it into the left side,1-0 Gravesham, this lifted the spirit if the girls & also lifted Rich as he new the girls were playing some great football & everyone was getting involved. Kick off, Ebbsfleet tried a chip over only to be won by Georgia this allowed her to find the strikers but was closed down quickly as Ebbsfleet had done there homework on her, but a slick bit of skill she found space & then found her partner in crime..... A girl that will always be beside her Daisy she turned on the tricks as well turning 2 players and releasing Mog, Mog had run her socks off unfortunately she could not reach it, but a great bit of play from Gracesham, but Ebbsfleet was not lying down they broke thru the deffence a long shot at Bex which she saved but the ball went behind her, Bex scrambled back with speed unfortunately the ball had crossed the line,1-1 this didn't seem to rock the crazy gang as they were straight back into action, Megan & DL aka (party girl) this worked well as both of these troops get stuck in and also to give Zoe & Jess a rest as they had worked well, with 10 mins to go Megan won the ball in midfield she beat her marker played a lovely ball thru to Alex who was being heavily marked, a cross come over and found Daisy who sweetly found the net, 2-1 Gravesham, still Ebbsfleet attacked but always outrun by Fionnuala who was like a small John terry throwing her body in front of every shot and returning the ball to midfield finding Megan who dinked a ball over for Mog to run on to, Mog crossed it over to find Georgia flick it on but was cleared back to the middle, half time whistle blew.
Kick off was under way, Rich's team talk was they might play long long ball so rich alerted the wide areas to keep Sharp and that Bex to be aware off the loose ball. Gravesham still having more of the play with Savannah Wining the tackles so Tats could pick the ball up and find her team mates which she done well Tats had control of the strikers & was playing with confidence clearing the balls wide, a mistake from Gravesham left Ebbsfleet attack in numbers it left 5vs3 the ball broke thru but Bex came flying out sliding and claim the ball safely.... Good goalkeeping, Rich loved this a huge kick was flicked on by Georgia and found Alex she sprinted passed her marker only to put the ball wide. With under ten mins to go the game could have swung but Gravesham were up for it, Maya tackled her marker run up the line to find DL, she went passed her marker with persistence and released Mog in she had a crack only to hit the cross bar this fell to Alex to clinch the game and relieve Rich from his heart attack, but was pushed off target, Ebbsfleet keeper kicked it out Daisy headed it over the deffence for Alex to outpace her marker and smash home Graveshams winners a well taken goal. After 5 mins of box to box the ref blew for full time the girls had smiles they could go to school and not get any stick, everyone new Rich would get in his van and celebrate, Rich gave a strong words of encouragement at the end saying that was a not a good performance it was a great performance with Fionnuala winning player of the match for her impression of John terry for 70 mins, well done to you all.

Gravesham Girls 15
Darwin 2
(played at Darwin)

A cold and miserable day see Gravesham Away to Darwin as the girls turned up they looked in a good mood, Rich and the girls worked hard at training on set plays from corners, kick off got under way with Gravesham running an early attack from midfield letting Georgia break thru and smash home Graveshams first goal,1-0 again Gravesham looked keen as Lacey played a lovely ball across into daisy a one two found Georgia again to find the net once again 2 goals in under 2 mins, 2-0 Gravesham, Darwin was not going to have this with 2 goals coming quickly from Darwin found Rich & the girls scratching there heads wondering what had just happened 2-2. With only DL aka (partygirl) missing Rich had a choice off subs, he new there would be goals in this game. Darwin were back in it but the girls new what was expected from them, some great play involving Fionnuala from the back going passed her marker linking Georgia with a one 2 to Jess who took it in her stride to cross it into the box it rebounded back to Jess who pulled the trigger to find the back of the net a big cheer went up, 3-2 Gravesham. Gravesham having all the play, great linking play with Maya into Daisy who played a thru ball across Darwins deffence see Mog beat her marker to the ball she had missed a few chances but this time Mog struck it sweet which found the net, 4-2 Gravesham, Darwin were still fighting they had a few attempts which Bex had covered, Rich was happy with the deffence they were doing what they practised retuning the ball to the midfield, this was working well Zoe retrieved the ball in midfield & played Alex in she had beat her marker left with a one on one with the keeper, she struck it, the keeper had no chance as it was tucked into the corner of the net, 5-2 Gravesham with 5 mins left a great clearance from Tats found Alex in space Darwin had pushed Alex into a corner but Rich knowing Alex she would have a go & so she did it was like slow motion she chipped the keeper from the right side outside the box it hit the far post then hit the near post and went over the line, 6-2 Gravesham. Half time.
Rich had his team talk, he said keep doing what your doing, don't change a thing just keep up the hard work!!
Kick off once again all players were getting involved Fionnuala finding Jess with her runs, Maya finding Lacey & Zoe, which left Georgia & Daisy to find space Georgia picked the ball up outside the box, the girls told her to have a shot & what a shot right hand corner great goal this gave her the hat-trick and put Gravesham 7-2 up. The ball broke down the right with Alex chasing hard being backed up by Zoe, Alex had crossed it over only to be blocked out by a Darwin defender the ball fell for Zoe, Rich had told her pull the trigger anywhere and so she did smashed it into the left hand side a great moment for Zoe as it was her first goal for Gravesham and was welcomed with a big cheer from Rich and the loyal fans, 8-2 Gravesham. Darwin could not get hold of the ball, Rich new it was only time before someone got in the end of a in-form Gravesham girls, Tats was having a good game in midfield clearing up any loose balls, found herself with the ball and some space to run at goal defenders seem to back off as she got in the box but BANG she had hit gold, a well deserved goal for her hard work 9-2 Gravesham. The ball broke down the right with Alex being marked out now by 2 defenders to win a corner, she floated it over flicked on by Georgia at the front post it fell to Daisy with one touch she found the net for her first,10-2 Gravesham yet again another break down the right found yet again Alex turning and beating her marker crossing over a slippery ball which deflected back out to Daisy she went round one defender then the second and slipped the ball in the left hand corner of the goal, 11-2 Gravesham, goals were coming fast, another corner from Alex found a great full volley from Georgia who had found space the net rippled with the power, 12-2 Gravesham. With 15 mins left Darwin were still trying but being greeted by Bex, with a huge kick the ball was flicked on to Mog by Georgia one touch took the ball away from her marker a a great strike see Mog get her 2nd of the match and her 27th of the season, 13-2 Gravesham, Rich couldn't believe it this was Graveshams highest count, he had lost track of scorers so he quickly went to the book to mark them off with the help of the loyal fans to help with who had scored. Daisy broke thru with a one to from Jess found Daisy in range a well struck shot with power from the left found the right hand side of the goal & also Daisy's hat-trick, What a strike, 14-2, with the clock running down, Alex broke down the right from a great ball from Tats, Alex got to the line and smashed it across goal to find the side foot of daisy which found the the roof of the net, 15-2, the final whistle blew... The girls came off with a big cheer & applause, Rich debriefed them with a big well done & said that's what you call a team performance, with daisy winning player of the match.

Bearsted 3
Gravesham Girls 3

Gravesham had top of the league Bearsted as Rich and the girls turned up to police college with nearly a full squad & also Daisy returning from injury but Rich spoke to soon as 3 of the girls were running late, which only left Gravesham starting with 10... But the girls were use to this. Kick off got under way, straight into attack was Gravesham with some slick play down the right from Georgia to Zoe & a great ball down the right to Alex who beat her defender only to smash it at the keeper, Bearsted counter attack very quickly but with a solid deffence consisting of Maya, Sav, & Fionnuala it would be hard to beat, Bearsted attacked twice in in a row a great save from Bex & her sliding out to the feet of the player see the attack brake down, a huge kick from Bex found Tats, she turned & slotted one thru to Georgia who see the run of Mog, Georgia found the feet and Mog out paced her defender to smash one into the net, 1-0 Gravesham. Bearsted attacked hard but was always faced with either Maya, Sav  or Fionnuala who was working well clearing there lines, Maya who was on form cleared it to Tats, again she played a great ball thru to Zoe on the right, she held of her marker and played a lovely ball to Alex she out passed her marker and crossed one across the box only to find Mog smash home goal number 2, 2-0 Gravesham after 22 mins, as the girls were celebrating Rich could see 3 yellow shirts in the distance, (casually walking across not in a hurry). Jess was introduced in the game, Jess got stuck straight in tackling away, which boosted moral making a full squad but Bearsted wouldn't lay down Bearsted broke thru and found the net .2-1 Gravesham, Gravesham had a few chances go wide with efforts from Daisy, Georgia & Alex, Bearsted broke again down the right unfortunately beating the deffence & Bex to find the equaliser 2-2, Rich was encouraging them *come on girls let's get our shape back, & they did holding out to half time.
The second half got under way Gravesham having most of the plays & attack, Megan & DL was on causing havoc not letting Bearsted get there shots off, Rich was happy with the girls they were passing it round well using all the pitch, a big kick from Bex found Tats  she played it to Georgia, Georgia found daisy who took on her marker & played a thru ball to Mog she beat her marker & the keeper to claim her HAT-TRICK, 3-2 Gravesham, the girls were buzzing playing with confidence, everyone was communicating helping each other Rich was liking the passing & movement, but with 7 minutes to goal Bearsted had the ball in Graveshams half it was 3vs5 in Bearsted favour a well struck shot from outside the box found the net Bex had no chance it was going at pace, 3-3, in the final minutes both teams had chances with Bearsted hitting the crossbar, 3-3 final score & a great game of football rich & supporters were happy a good performance all round from the girls, with fionnuala winning player of the match.

Gravesham Girls 1
Ebbsfleet 5

Here we go.... Gravesham was meant to have this Sunday off, but due to re-arranged fixtures this meant Rich & the girls had Ebbsfleet, the girls had trained hard for this game.. Passing, communicating, shooting, so the girls were ready. kick off got under way with some hard tackles flying in in midfield Rich played 3-1-4-2,Tats being the 1 who could control there top scorer, Ebbsfleet broke thru after 10 mins the ball popped up well for the striker but a week strike found Graveshams net.1-0 Ebbsfleet. The ball flew around but not by Gravesham. the girl were trying hard to get possession but couldn't. Ebbsfleet had a corner, the Ebbsfleet player chipped it to the near post it got caught up with Fionnuala and some how it found the net...2-0 Ebbsfleet. Graveshams kick off Megan Naish & DL aka party girl was introduced to spice it up a bit, with 10 mins to go before half time, the girls got straight into action, but it wasn't to be Ebbsfleet broke thru and hammered one pass Bex 3-0 Ebbsfleet, HALF TIME whistle blew.
The girls crowded Rich for the team talk  Rich said this wasn't good enough!!! We haven't had a shot.. We haven't put 2 passes together, come on girls let's pull this back.
Kick off started with a midfield battle going on as we matched them 5vs5, but Ebbsfleet wanted the ball more, Gravesham Always 2nd to the ball by this time Ebbsfleet had there 4th another week strike found Graveshams net, 4-0 Ebbsfleet. Rich was running out of ideas the defence was working well he just couldn't work it out!!!, suddenly a burst thru by Ebbsfleet  saw the ball find Graveshams net, a shot from 20 yards, 5-0 Ebssfleet with 15 minutes left Gravesham still had a fight they kept possession well for 15 minutes Alex broke thru and just missed. Alex broke through again and smashed it across the box only just to miss Mog, they kept this up and at last  Gravesham found the net with Tats huge throw into the box it pinged around but Mog's persistence she struck gold 5-1 Ebbsfleet  time was running The ball stayed in Ebbsfleet end till the final whistle blew...5-1 Ebbsfleet, the girl came off the pitch some still smiling & others wondering what had gone wrong, Rich had a debrief after the game, and said sometimes they want it more, c'mon girls we can get back from this we always do, with great tackles that helped out Gravesham from suffering more punishment the award went to Fionnuala, but the other defenders worked just as hard.

Gravesham Girls 8
Swale 0

The Crazy Gang had Swale ladies as the players and loyal fans turned up at stone home of Gravesham girls, they all looked in good spirit and looked ready for action as the girls lined up, rich had a head count 13 rich cried, wow we have subs, as soon as he opened his mouth Megan Naish fell down with the lurgey, DL (aka) party girl became super sub, kick off started. Straight into action Gravesham attacked hard a quick pass to Lacey, she then crossed it into the box only to be cleared by a Swale defender, the ball went as far as Georgia she slid a thru ball thru to Alex who beat the defender and hammered home Graveshams first, 1-0 Gravesham. Kick off Swale hit a long ball down the line but Fionnuala was there to see it safe as always, a long throw in from Tats found Jess in her stride with a few tricks she lost her marker and managed to get a cross over this went straight thru the area and out the other side Alex chased as it didn't go out she lined it up and pulled the trigger goal number 2 for Gravesham & Alex's 2nd, Gravesham 2-0 up within 20 min Graveshams midfield was working hard winning all the lose balls, a thru ball from Zoe found Mog she took one touch pass her marker and chased Mog could see the goal getting bigger head down & smash  she looked up to see the net bulge 3-0 Gravesham. Rich & supporters felt sorry for Bex in goal as she hadn't touched the ball in 26 mins because if Swale broke thru Savannah, Fionnuala & Maya  cleared up everything, this helped maya push up, she herself had a few runs and playing in Lacey who was having a good game she crossed another one into the box only to be found by 'oh yes' Mog again she confidently side footed it into the corner of the goal 4-0 Gravesham. Rich  give Lacey a well deserved rest as she worked hard, this introduced DL (aka) party girl, straight into action winning the ball with fresh legs she found herself Infront of goal but the keeper had the shot covered, not a great clearance from Swales keeper see Mog win the ball and take a first time shot a carbon copy of last week... Outside the box and lobbing the keeper (another great goal) 5-0 Gravesham. Rich was enjoying the football the girls were playing passing & communicating well. Swale kicked off and forced a long ball towards Bex she had her first touch, she launched the ball forward flicked on by Georgia to Zoe, Zoe then played a ball wide to Alex to chase, Alex beat the defender to the ball and crossed it over & found the right foot of Georgia she let loose and rippled the net.... Some great play saw Georgia grab her 1st and Graveshams 6th 6-0 Gravesham the ball got pinged around for a few minutes then the ref blew for half time

Kick off started, Rich gave his team talk & said just keep doing what your doing and remember pass the ball around, so the girls did, Jess was battling hard winning the balls, Zoe was passing well and getting involved, Georgia was making runs, Tats huge throw ins were causing trouble as Alex was getting round them but every time couldn't find the net, once again Bex and the defence did not have a lot to do, and it was getting cold. The ball remained down Swales end, Gravesham got a corner, Alex stepped up floated one in the ball found the keeper and punched it out to the feet of party girl....could it... COULD IT.... Rich & loyal fans were on tip toes DL put all her power into it with a massive cheer from the girls we all new what had happened...DL run back to the girls & celebrated with her rolly polly. 7-0 Gravesham. Gravesham kept Swale pinned in, another corner came in from Alex, Swale could not clear it a shot from Tats saw the keeper parry it out to Mog, the ball fell to her feet and she hit home with her 4th & Graveshams 8th. 8-0 Gravesham with 10 minutes to go Rich subbed Mog she got a big round of applause for her effort, this released DL to play upfront with Alex, DL was chasing everything but unfortunately kept getting caught of side due to her eagerness But Rich didn't care it was a joy to watch all the girls played there part, Rich couldn't have asked for more. The final whistle blew final score 8-0 Gravesham with Mog receiving player of the match for her 4 goals and good positional play, well done girls.

Gravesham Girls 12
Anchorians Angels 1

It was like noah's ark as the girls turned up at stone eagerly waiting to start there first match back, playing Anchorians after the Xmas break. The whistle blew to start, with a full 11 the girls & rich new we had to get off to a flying start & which the girls did, straight back into there passing mode playing pretty much one touch football, Rich was over the moon the football looked great, it wasn't long before Gravesham took control and broke the dead lock, with Georgia playing a great one-two with Lacey see Georgia thru on target banging in Graveshams first, 1-0 Gravesham, Anchorians went straight in after the re-start playing wide only to meet a very hungry Fionnuala smashing the tackle back up the line to Tats who was playing in Rich's triangle up front, the parents only could see the back of her as Tats buzzed down the line only for her shot to find the keeper, this happened a few times for Tats unfortunately found the keeper every time wasn't sure if was going to be Tats day. Gravesham were playing some really great football when suddenly Zoe beat her marker played it inside to Georgia, with great vision she found Alex breaking there defence and rippling the net for Graveshams 2nd 2-0 Gravesham, Anchorians keep there heads held high and attacked us a few times but Maya, Fionnuala, DL, were handling anything what was thrown at them, but one did slip thru but Bex came flying out took the ball & the Anchorians striker as well, Bex shook hands as the player got up. A huge kick bounced over the Anchorians defence, Alex flicked her gears & she was off like lightning but to see her shot go wide. The ball was won by Lacey in midfield, she could see Mog was ready to go, Lacey slotted a thru ball  thru the defence to Graveshams top scorer who confidently slotted it into the right hand side, & to add to her tally 3-0 Gravesham. Gravesham was having all of the play a confident tackle a persistence From golden girl Jess played the ball thru the Anchorians defence & was chased by Tats she was 1 on 1 with the keeper she struck it well the keeper dived it hit the keeper and went under her body, Tats had scored her first of the season, Rich had a big smile on his face as all of the girls congratulated her it was a great moment, but not for Paul & Heidi as they were now out of pocket, but it was worth it, 4-0 Gravesham The girls were on a roll, with a midfield battle going on the ball became stale for a while with all girls slightly tiring & looking for the half time whistle, but the half wasn't over for Gravesham, the ball was passed round so well Achorians were chasing shadows, the ball fell for Lacey she turned her marker and let rip smashing the ball passed the keeper.....(welcome back lace) 5-0 Gravesham. Anchorians Atacked & Atacked but each time found the safe arm of my other golden girl Bex, another huge clearance met the head of Georgia the ball was flicked onto a full sprinting Mog as a true striker slotting it home with ease 6-0 Gravesham, HALF TIME whistle blew, the girls were glad to hear it.

After a confident team talk by Rich the girls were ready they wanted double figures & a clean sheet, the whistle blew for the second half, Anchorians had made some tactical moves by putting 2 player on Georgia & 2 players to mark Alex, but the midfield were passing it around using the wide areas golden girl Jess was getting well involved winning tackles, she broke  thru the defence crossed it over and found the sweet right foot of Georgia for her second, 7-0 Gravesham. Soon after Gravesham got hit with some injuries with all the great tackles Fionnuala was making, this was one to far, Fionnuala won the tackle but was bundled to the floor with a bad fall this took the breath out of her & she had to have a rest Gravesham down to ten with Zoe filling in a right back, 3 minutes later Fionnuala came back on straight into action winning tackles. After all the hard work Georgia pulls up with a strain on her thigh, she came off  and Rich & his magic spray sorted it out, But unfortunately for Gravesham Anchorians won the ball in midfield chipped it over Graveshams heads for Anchorians striker to run thru and chip it over Golden girl Bex,7-1 Gravesham. Georgia came back on straight into action she received  a great ball from golden girl Jess, Georgia pulled the trigger and squeezed it into the corner of the net, great goal!!! This sealed her hat trick  (the magic spray worked well). 8-1 Gravesham. The girls were buzzing, Lacey won the ball in midfield she saw Zoe making a run a great ball found Zoe in her stride she crossed it over and fell to the foot of ohh yes Mog she wasn't missing she took a touch and found the right hand side of the net a well taken goal, 9-1 Gravesham. Rich had now time to relax the girls were playing with confidence and passing it around beautifully. Tats took control in the middle winning tackles she broke thru and took an early shot but was saved by the Anchorians keeper, a corner for Gravesham, everyone stepped up Alex floated one over into the box the ball found Mog, she struck it well the keeper gave a good effort to save it but it was out of reach, Mog had her 4th goal, 10-1. From the kick off Gravesham attacked straight away but the ball was smashed straight to DL she took on her marker, played it into Lacey she could see Alex was ready to break thru, Lacey played a great ball for Alex to chase she out paced her defender and found her second goal, 11-1 Gravesham. with only minutes left Gravesham had a throw in,  a Huge throw from Tats  found the head of Georgia the ball fell for Mog and about 20 yard out she pulled the trigger Mog struck it pure the ball flew over the keeper head hit the bottom of the crossbar and rolled down the back if the net.... WHAT A GOAL!!! 12-1 suddenly the final whistle blew the girls came of the pitch to a warm round of applause from our loyal supporters, Rich congratulated all the girls for their performance, it was a joy to watch the girls get back on winning ways, player of the match was Zoe for getting in great positions & creating goal scoring chances.

Gravesham Girls 0
Meridian 1

The girls turned up at stone, with grey sky and a threat of rain wasn't going to hold the girls back they need to get back on track with some very hard games played they needed to get threw this hurdle. Rich had 11 warriors out there, no room for any injuries this week!!. Meridian started, with Alex Georgia & Mog straight in trying to pressure Meridian, with a formation of 3-1-3-1-2, Rich was packing the midfield out!! Georgia working hard to get the upper hand but was greeted with a meridian player who wasn't giving her any room, DL playing part as a attacking midfielder was as usual throwing her body around Winning tackles, Meridian had a break down the right which left Fionnuala to deal with as she calmly kicks it out for a throw in. A long throw from meridian left Bex to deal with she claimed it well a big kick out left Alex and Mog chasing it but the ball found Meridians keeper who was having a good game. Some great football played by  Gravesham in midfield saw Jess come alive as she battled through 2 meridian players but the ball ran out, the throw in found the head of Georgia and played Alex threw as she passed her defender pull the trigger and was smashed across goal only to go out for a goal kick. A stray ball Caught out Sav & Fionnuala but Bex came steaming out sliding on her side to grab it... Rich shouted to Bex *that's what I'm on about* Rich was well pleased, a big kick flicked on by Georgia left a 1 on 1 with the keeper but it was just out of Mogs reach a few times this happened but the down hill wasnt helping with the ball running out. Another big kick from Meridians goal keeper bounced over Graveshams midfield only to find a Meridian player on the right edge of the box she swung her foot at it.... It was caught plumb, chipped up lovely and lobbed Bex in goal 1-0 meridian, it was a good goal the girls new that so they didn't let it bother them, it put Gravesham into another gear with some great clearances from Tats to Mog who carried on attacking, the whistle blew half time.
Rich's half time team talk was positive your doing great, it was a lucky goal, but we are not hitting the target so many chances missed in the first half keep up the hard work and it will pay off.
Whistle blows for second half with a change of Maya swapping with DL which pushed Maya into the 3rd attacker, she got stuck straight in trying hard to break the defence it kept falling to her but was blocked every time, another kick from meridian saw Sav chasing back backed up by DL &  Fionnuala but Bex saw the loose ball and came sliding out..... This was a Joy for Rich to see he loved Bex commanding her goal. Zoe was trying to find wide areas the ball found her she took on her marker and crossed it over to Mog but again just out of reach! It just wasnt happening but suddenly Alex took on her marker went round her with pace there was hope but her cross found the side netting, with Georgia not 100% it was showing in the midfield Meridian got on top winning the battle but with a strong back 3 DL, Sav, Fionnuala dealt with every ball that come threw & Tats was there sweeping up, the game was still 50/50 even though Gravesham were loosing it wasnt showing, they kept on battling on unfortunately the final whistle blew it finished 1-0 to Meridian it was end to end football with 50/50 possession, Gravesham was unlucky not to get something from the game, with  Fionnuala winning player of the match for her well timed tackles and throwing herself into tackles blocking them.

League Cup, Semi Final

Semi final day had arrived, the girls turned up 2 by 2 knowing we could only field 10 players it was going to be a tough task but the girls where up for it, they wanted this final spot badly, Bex was last to turn up styling her new bright pink kit, with a formation of 3-1-3-1-1 Rich  new we couldn't afford to pass it around & hold on to the ball, so we changed the style to... JUST LUMP IT FORWARD!!! This was not in Rich's vocabulary as he likes the passing game, Alex new she had to chase everything & she was up to the job.
Kick off, Gravesham with the back pass to Georgia  passes it put to Maya but gets blocked off ball goes out for a throw, Maya wins back possession inside to Georgia who Lumps it forward to Alex, she battles to out run the defender which she beats and smashes her right boot threw it, it hits the net with power..1-0 Gravesham, the girls regroup, DL battling hard on
The left flank picking up all the loose balls trying to find a way through, mog playing in a roll she doesnt like but is coping well,having to play up hill the girls finding it hard to mark the extra player, Ridgewaye played a lovely ball wide & played it inside to find there equaliser, Bex had no chance, Rich was encouraging and shouting directions Sav, Megan, Fionnuala had there work cut out chasing back and clearing there lines well Tats playing in a more midfield roll was working hard clearing the threw ball back to Alex who was being marked by 3 defenders, it wasn't long before ridgewaye got there second, 2-1 ridgewaye, the girls were shattered, but still pushing for that final spot, Megan got in the way from a full shot only to hit her left hand, she had to retire injured, Gravesham were down to 9, Rich only had one game plan, he couldn't afford plan B. Tats moved in to cover the roll, a mistake at the back lead to ridgewayes 3rd goal... 3-1  shortly after that Sav was struggling bad with her breathing she flagged Rich to come off, she stumbled over and her legs give way, Rich tried to comfort her and get calm, HALF TIME whistle blew. With now only 8 girls it was pride up for stake, now with a formation of 3-3-1 it was a game of kick and rush... School boy football!!! Maya received the ball slotted it threw to DL she then played it to Georgia, who at this point had won everything in the air & all her tackles, Georgia chips it over for alex to beat her defender and smash it over the bar. A big goal kick which Gravesham didnt win left Ridgewaye over power Fionnuala & Tats, Ridgewaye broke threw for goal number 4, Ridgewaye now 4-1 up on Gravesham, Sav wanted to come back on, Rich was reassured that she was ok, so she entered the field full off life winning tackles left right and centre, we had one last push, a huge throw in from Tats saw alex turn her defender and 1 on 1 with the keeper, Alex confidently hit home Graveshams second 4-2 ridgewaye with only seconds on the clock Rich pushed most people forward but it was to late the whistle blew & Graveshams cup run was over the girls came off the pitch they could hardly stand up & there was no talking...(that was unusual) These girls are warriors they battled till the end not giving up, Rich was so proud of them, he couldn't have asked for more, Rich had a chat at the end, that now we try and push for league position. With Sav winning player of the match for her bravery & effort.

Long Lane 0
Gravesham Girls 0

The girls turned up to Dursley road, home of Long Lane, league leaders the only team to take point of them was Bearsted, Rich & the girls new it would be hard, still missing Daisy, especially after last weeks result, but the girls were in for a treat, LL had returned to there old ground, which had been re-layed, ready for the olympics football teams to train on! With a little team talk from Rich, got the girls going, all we new is they have been smashing teams!!
Kick off Gravesham straight in attacking getting the ball down & wide playing 3-1-3-2-1 new we could pack and over run the midfield with a sea of yellow, this was working well with some hard work from Zoe & Jess running down the lines trying to release Alex & Mog am early attempt see Alex break threw from a great pass from Zoe, only to see her powerful shot just miss across goal, the LL goal keeper had a big kick and they were using the wind but Georgia was there winning the battle, getting stuck in turning her marker well slotting threw Maya who had a shot but no power, the keeper claimed it well, Sav, Megan, Fionnuala & Bex were on their toes the ball from LL was always long It caused Gravesham some problems but Bex was on form, it looked like she was loving the lush grass spreading her body blocking a shot from LL a repeat shot point blank, but some how Bex saved it & Fionnuala cleared it....., this was the Bex I wanted to see..aggressive & most of all up for it!!
Tats playing her new roll look good, Tats was having a battle her self, but every time winning it and playing it wide into areas, Tats was happy..Rich was happy, party girl came on for Zoe who needed a little rest after running herself mad winning tackles, DL got stuck in straight away winning the tackle passing it threw to Jess who was complaining (I'm not getting the ball on my side) Jess broke threw passed it to Mog & again see her shot wide, Gravesham with most of the play, but suddenly LL get a direct free kick in the edge of Graveshams box, LL stepped up struck it with power, Bex took a side step & saved it,not even rich would have saved that, well done our loyal supporters cried!! (great save). LL attacked again but was chased by Megan with a crunch of a tackle she cleared the ball back to Tats  with one touch moved the ball wide to Alex but could not get her shot on target..
Half time.
The second half got under way, Rich had moved Mog up to play beside Alex, Rich wanted something from this game, now we had the wind in Graveshams favour, Bexs long kicks and Georgia's control meant  that we could attack more in wide areas, this was working georgia & Maya were playing well linking play creating many chances for Alex & Maya But found nothing but as quick as Gravesham attacked LL were attacking back with passing of there own breaking our midfield but only to find the might of Graveshams solid defence, also Bex was on her toes clearing up any stray ball that she didn't look the like of.
The final whistle blew, all girls were shattered after a great display of grit & determination see the teams end with a 0-0 draw, they were greeted of the pitch with a warm round of applause which every single girl deserved, Rich also had a cheeky smile back on his face too, player of the match was won by Bex commanding and clearing up her area well..... Well done girls keep up the hard work, it will pay off.

Walderslade 4
Gravesham Girls 2

The girls turned up one by one to weeds wood road, home of Walderslade girls fc, the sun was shining & the girls were ready for action, still without daisy, the girls new they had to put in a hard shift, Gravesham won the toss and decided to kick down hill. Kick off Alex straight in attacking the ball backed up by Georgia who put in a great block tackle but the ball rebounded the wrong way releasing a Walderslade attacker to beat Fionnuala and take a early shot wide. Bex in goal confident with her kicks was reaching Maya on the right who started to show some magic taking on there left back only to see the ball run out, Walderslade keeper had a big kick but every time found Georgia who was covering every blade of grass, but unfortunately she was being marked heavily, Walderslade new she was trouble, Georgia found room and slotted it threw to Jess, again head down battling hard like always beating her marker and also firing a shot at the keeper, with 50% of party girl, aka (DL) after having another night on the shandys, she was having a great game getting stuck in showing Rich what she can do. Tats, Sav, Fionnuala had a hard time, as many balls were played long from the keeper, found them, with Tats captain again she was commanding the line well all making much needed timing, Megan playing as a defensive midfielder see her get a lot of the action picking up spare balls & taking Tats marker off her, Megan has come alive taking a couple of attempts at goal, then a well won tackle from DL released Alex into the corner, she crossed it over to find Graveshams top scorer slinging her right foot at it smashing the net, 1-0 Gravesham. Walderslade straight into action playing some great football a breaking threw only to see her shot wide, Bex had it covered.
HALF TIME
Rich at half time team talk was to get the ball wide and keep it along the floor, but soon into the half Walderslde broke threw from the right and slotted one past Bex 1-1. This rocked the crazy gang it took a while to get our passing back but Sav won the ball in defence played it to Zoe who had come on for party girl, a lovely ball threw to alex which she beat the defender and smashed it onto the crossbar, the goal kick was won by Georgia who had a crack herself again wide, a few chances Gravesham see go sailing past. Maya again won the ball played it to Georgia, she then chipped one threw to Alex who turned and beat her marker to the ball crossed won over again found Mog in a great  position, Mog took control and pulled the trigger for Graveshams second, 2-1 Gravesham, the girls looked a little worn due to the heavy pitch, but Rich had little in reserve, party girl came on for a tired Megan she had done what she was told by rich box to box with a few shots. Jess had some play winning & breaking threw only to see her cross cleared by Walderslade, a stray ball came back to our defence being shepherd back by Tats the communication broke down and Bex was caught Walderslade slipped past and put it in the back of Graveshams net 2-2.
Walderslade attacked & attacked playing good football, all the hard work had been undone, Rich looked at the girls they were shattered another long kick from Walderslade see the ball again break threw midfield threw the defence and passed Bex 3-2 Gravesham kicked off but were out of ideas as Walderslade took possession & also took control of the game and putting it out of Graveshams reach by netting there 4th 4-2 Waldeslade the final whistle blew all girls where worn out. After match debrief Rich said we have to up our game all give 100% for our next match, with Maya winning man of the match, unlucky girls bring on long lane!!!

Tesco Cup

Cup day had arrived, with the sun shining & blue sky but not a cloud insight, Gravesham had drawn Ridgewaye in the first round as the girls arrived they seemed happy and up for the challenge, going on recent clashes being on the wrong end of.. 10-0...6-1...5-3 but sure Rich and the girls new we were getting better each time. The ref was a county ref and played it by the book & the girls new they had to play with respect. Whistle blew.. Gravesham passing back to Georgia, who played a lovely ball down the line to Zoe, she beat her marker and played a ball threw to Alex, as fast as she is the ball ran out for a goal kick, this was a very aggressive start from Gravesham, with party girl (aka) DL playing in a new roll as an attacking midfielder, Rich has found a formation that suits the girls playing 3-1-3-2-1, was a strong line up with an absent Daisy. The ball came out from the keeper but was meet with Georgia's head playing it threw to Mog who was being chased hard by a defender only to see the keeper claim the ball, the ball was launched out and bounced threw to Megan playing as a defensive midfielder, she took a touch and chipped it into Jess with determination she had her head down and was winning her battle beating the defender and sliding her shot wide, Bex didn't have a lot to do for the first ten, but then a tricky ball threw passed Megan see a Ridgewaye attacker run on threw goal, Sav was chasing and doing well, but Bex came out and claimed it, a huge kick from Bex met Georgias flick on, and fell to Mog who played in Alex, but was beaten by the defender who kicked it out for a corner, Alex stepped up, it wasn't one of her best Georgia swung her boot at it, it took a deflection out to Jess, the keeper was wrong footed and left Jess to side foot into the net, every one cheered as this was a rare event being 1-0 up against last years league & cup winners, Jess couldn't believe it, the girls lined up, ridgewaye went straight into top gear with some great play splitting the midfield and breaking threw, Bex see her chance she ran out and beat the attacker to the ball with a huge clearance, out for a throw in Ridgewaye attacked hard, but Savannah had every ball covered, Maya was having a great game not being afraid to take on her marker & playing in to Zoe, she was met with a crunching tackle the ball looped over our defence onto a running Ridgewaye player, it was 1 on 1 with Bex, she made her self big but the shot was too good Bex right hand side the net bulged, 1-1,  Rich & loyal supporters was encouraging the girls.... They were great, there heads were up and ready to start again, passing around well this time Jess broke down the line beating 2 Ridgewaye players, only again to be put out for a throw in, Tats long throw ins were causing trouble but Gravesham could not get into a goalscoring position, always being cleared but a ball knocked long Tats saw Alex sprinting to get it, and she did but hammered her shot just wide. It was an even game with both sides defending hard keeping the keepers on there toes, a quick 1-2 by Ridgewaye broke again but a lovely shot into Graveshams net left Bex no chance as it was hard & in the top corner, 2-1 Ridgewaye. Gravesham kicked off passing the ball around using the wide areas, making Jess & Zoe work hard a strong header threw to Alex see her being chased by 2 defenders she took a touch, this time she wasn't missing.. Smash left hand side...2-2..game on!!!! Gravesham were playing with grit, they were getting stuck in! Fionnuala came on for Jess, the poor girl needed a rest, Rich wanted to save her for second half, Fionnuala in on the action chasing her marker and clearing up making sure it was safe to push up. Georgia having a great game looped the ball over to Mog she battled threw, pulled the trigger but her shot was just wide, Ridgewaye keeper with a long kick sent one up the line, a great bit of play Tats chased & chased went for the tackle but was slightly late and caught the heels of the Ridgewaye attacker, the ref pointed to the spot....PENALTY!!!!, the ref pulled Tats aside to have a word, which upset her, but it WAS'NT going to change the way she was playing, she was playing great! Ridgewaye stepped up Bex was ready doing her bit to put off the penalty taker, but it was not to be top corner with power, Bex dived but was out of reach, (that was a good penalty), ref blew for half time.

After a good team talk rich changed it around moving DL into a defensive midfield roll along side Megan, just to stop the balls threw the middle. Kick off started Ridgewaye attacked but Sav, Tats & Maya was dealing with everything playing the ball every time up the lines Alex chased onto a dead ball but made it, only hitting the side netting this happened a few times alex breaking threw but Ridgewayes keeper was alert, alex again had a 1 on 1 with the keeper only to see her attempt go wide, Gravesham were looking for the equaliser pushing Ridgewaye hard, having most of the play, Jess came on for Zoe who had run her socks off for the team, Jess made an affect straight away beating 3 players but her attempt found the keepers arms with her shot with about ten min left, Ridgewayes keeper smashed another ball up field to be chased by a Ridgewaye forward, she played in another Ridgewaye player this left a 1-1 with Bex, another amazing strike into the left hand side see the net ripple 4-2 Ridgewaye, but now it was too late with only 5 mins left, Rich pushed Maya to join in up front, but it was not to be, unfortunately  the ref blew the whistle for full time. As the girls came off the pitch with there heads held high, and greeted of the pitch was a warm round of applause and cheers because we all new that was a good performance all girls gave 100% and Alex was awarded player of the match for her hard work, chasing dead balls, well done to all girls it was good to watch.

Gravesham Girls 3
Bearsted 2

Nerves were high in the air as it was cup day, Gravesham take on top of the league & one of the favourites to win the league cup, the air was damp it had grey sky above, it wasnt  promising much.
The whistle blew Bearsted kick off with there usuall strong and affected side getting straight in on action, Rich at the beginning of the game got the girls together & said let's wake up early and not let the opponents run at us, we shall do it to them, and sure they did, with Fionnuala breaking down Bearsted's first attack also winning the ball & releasing it to Jess she battled thru 3 defenders only just missing the beans on toast, a confident start for Gravesham, with Bearsted kicking down hill they were using the most of it but with a strong back 3 off Tats, Maya & Fionnuala clearing there lines & playing Georgia in, who would then create something, so she did, a fast ball to the feet of Zoe, who confidently struck a shot at goal the keeper who parried it back out to the feet of daisy who bulged the net for Graveshams first goal, 1-0 Gravesham the parents / surporters went crazy, Rich was too (inside), but he & the girls new Bearsted would come at the now, attack after attack was dealt with by Tats, Fionnuala, Maya they were having great game making play for the midfield who could push up the pitch. Megan playing as a defensive midfielder finding a new roll for her was working a treat she was getting stuck in at the Heart of the pitch out pacing her marker and winning all tackled Which she dealt with like a pro.... This was a old  Megan, but Rich was loving it,  Bearsted won a corner, rich & the girls have been practicing at training, once again all girls done there job, but the ball came back at Gravesham  so quick Bearsted played thru there attacker and put one past Bex who was having a great game in goal, 1-1, Gravesham kept there heads kick off resumed play Daisy straight in a one two with Georgia & a lovely ball thru to Mog see Mogs chance find the keepers hands, again the ball was launched from the keeper & taken down lovely from Maya a pass threw to Zoe see her put Mog in again but sadly out of range, Zoe was playing well chasing the tricky winger who had quick pace, Rich made a change and brought on party girl (aka) DL for Zoe who needed a rest, straight away into action winning the ball, showing of her party moves with tacking on Bearsted's midfield creating a pass threw to alex, this left a one on one with the keeper, alex looked up and rolled it into the left hand corner, once again Rich was deff by the huge cheering from Graveshams loyal surport, 2-1 Gravesham.
This wasn't in the script, but it was happening, the girls regrouped as Bearsted went for the kill with their silky passing only to be found by Megan, this girl wasn't letting anything pass, winning the ball, it was mainly Gravesham with the play but any attack from bearsted was broken down suddenly a lovely run from Jess who battled threw two defenders rolled the ball across to Mog which she took in her stride as a true striker does and rips home Graveshams third, 3-1 Gravesham, they held out for the whistle to blow...HALF TIME.

Rich was giving instructions to keep it tight but get the ball wide.
SECOND HALF

Gravesham straight into action as they now were playing down hill & with Bekka's kicks were now causing Bearsted a problem with Alex chasing everything  but they were dealing with it well their keeper was having a good game, the ball launched up pitch from the keeper but Fionnuala was on the case like a little terrier not lettin anything pass her, she was like my John Terry throwing her body in front blocking shots, Fionnuala  was backed up by Megan who was knocking it down the line well, DL chased every ball put threw to her, sliding her passes to daisy on this time had a shot only to be blocked by a defender, it rollled back out to Georgia & had a shot herself but only found the keepers arms, a long ball played from the bearsted keeper bounced over the midfield which left Tats deal with a tricky one it bounced pass so Maya jumped in but the ball hit her hands, it was in the box, the ref had no choice but to give a penalty, Bex squared up for it... hands out, making herself big, Bearsted struck it Bex dived the right way got her fingertips to it but just out of reach, the net bulged, 3-2 Gravesham. Bearsted pushed another girl up front to help, Rich responded by bringing Mog back to midfield to crowd it out with yellow shirts, with some great play from both teams, Gravesham held on well clearing everything that come to them, still attacking themselves, at last the whistle Gravesham, Rich & loyal supporters wanted to hear, everyone could not believe it Gravesham made it threw to the semis & finally broke the curse of Bearsted a great game played at a vey high tempo with all girls giving %110 but one girl just breaking that with Tats winning player of the match, well done girls that was true grit & determination & it payed off.

Darwin 0
Gravesham Girls 4

An over cast day rain loomed in the distance, but slowly but surely the girls turned up at biggin hill away to Darwin was next on the list for Gravesham, the pitch was in good condition the line up was limited to 11 girls no subs as Daisy & Mog were absent, but sending the girls there good luck!!. Kick off started Georgia had first play straight away passing to Zoe on the right of midfield remembering what we done in training slotting Alex thru for Graveshams first attack, Alex latched on to it only to be saved by Darwins keeper, she also had a big kick on her, but the girls new there posision  & Georgia was finding every ball working hard to create nothing into something, her plan was working well, without her trusty partner Daisy, it didn't seem to show, as DL aka (party girl) was holding and working tirelessly picking up the stray balls also having bursting runs thru her self.
Jess in left midfield was getting most of the play, with Fionnuala sweeping up at the back & securely feeding the ball to up the line to Jess, this was working well, with jess's persistence to keep on battling see her break thru passed the right back and to smash it across goal only to meet a Darwin player and cleared out, but only as far as Maya on the edge of the box, who was playing Daisys roll, to side foot the ball wide, Darwin kicking down hill was causing no problem for our defence, Megan had the hard task with a very fast Darwin forward, but every time see Megan clear her lines, Megan new she was going to have a tough old game, time & time again Megan seemed keep up and deal with Darwin forward, Megan new if she broke thru she would have to deal with Tats, as Tats took on the roll of captain, this was not going to happen. Sav was having a great game herself clearing any loose balls out to safety, which left Bex only really being a spectator, but when Bex was called in for duty her goal kicks were working a treat, finding DL & Georgia every time, they were feeding Maya & alex with some great  balls tru, some fancy footwork from Maya only to find the Darwin keeper, and Alex bursting thru only to narrowly miss!!  0-0 HALF TIME

Rich was happy with the girls they were doing what we had trained on Saturday, so the team talk was positive  and all we was missing was the goal, which wasn't far away. Kick off started the second half, Darwin had changed formation and now playing 4 at the back to contain Alex & Maya, Zoe straight in!! tacking on the left back to release Alex on for her shot to be blocked by a Darwin defender only rebound back out to Zoe who teed up a shot & just missing the beans on toast, Dawins goal kicks were short to defenders, which Gravesham picked up on, which only left a punt down field to find DL & Georgia this time Georgia had a go and it was pushed wide by the keeper, Alex stepped up for the corner & chipped in a lovely one Darwin could only clear it as far as Maya who pulled the trigger but again saved by the keeper. Out came the ball again falling to DL who controlled a great pass thru the defence, this sparked of Alex who sprinted thru like Hussein bolt, one touch and bang it Rose above the keeper to smash home Graveshams 1st, 1-0 Gravesham, the girls seemed to find another gear, Rich said at half time let's score first, it will become easier for you!! and sure it did with runs from Jess finding her self infront of goal but again finding the keepers hands who pushed it out for a corner, Alex once again swung in a corner to pin ball around to find the dancing feet of Maya who confidently slotted home goal number 2, 2-0 Gravesham. Tats was working hard tracking her forward giving them hell nothing was getting thru.... Tats throwings were causing trouble as Georgia was flicking them on, the ball fell once again to Maya who took on Darwins centre back to side foot into the net for her second goal...3-0 Gravesham, you could hear Kamal a mile away screaming, Bex had a little action with some long kicks getting thru to her, but confidently returning them longer into Darwins half. Zoe was having a little battle with the Darwins left midfielder, but Zoe was winning the battle there, finding Alex on a few times only to see them just miss. Again Gravesham attacked their goal kicks, Georgia was in the right place most of the time playing one right back only to be pushed wide by the keeper, but Darwins defender put it out for a corner again Alex floated a corner in it was pushed out to Megan who had a dig but was blocked by Darwins defence, but Megan went in again, the ball was lost in the penalty box, the ball popped out to the back post where DL was positioned, I think she was grinning as she pulled her foot back and pulled the trigger it lobbed the keeper & found the net bulging ............OMG what a scream this party girl has!! All the  parents went mad but no one had seen her goal celebration yet, which consisted of a full scream and a forward roll, she got up and took of like a plane arms out and with the biggest cuddles from team mates..... (This was good times), the ball passed around for a few minutes then the final whistle blew!!! With Gravesham walking off the pitch with smiles on their faces Being greeted With a warm round of applause from Graveshams true supporters  for there great team work & communication, not only a win but a clean sheet for Bex.
Well done to all girls you did us proud let's keep up the hard work & believe in yourselves, with DL winning player of the match for her persistent hard work, her 1st goal, and just pure entertainment.

Gravesham Girls 3
Bearsted 4

Bearsted was next on Graveshams hit list, with only 1 point off them in nearly 3 seasons, Rich and the girls new it would be tough, fast and entertaining game, the girls new what they had to do!! Kick off Bearsted straight in passing the ball around, they were finding wide areas, which was causing trouble to our defence Fionnuala was taken on and Bearsted had an early shot & was rewarded with a goal, 1-0 Bearsted after 1 min 40 sec. Gravesham were a little shocked, but continued to keep the ball as Georgia & Daisy working hard making things out of nothing, Maya playing right midfield, making some good runs, and supplying Alex only for the ball to roll out of play, long goal kicks from Bearsted were causing all sorts of problems once again the ball broke thru Graveshams defence after a bit of a scramble in the Graveshams penalty box Gravesham could not clear there lines, Bearsted struck gold again after a deflection of a Gravesham defender only to wrong foot Bex and find the net, 2-0 Bearsted.
Gravesham at this point were not in the game, something wasn't right, rich was shouting instructions & encouragement but this didn't seem to work. With Tats, Sav, Fionnuala & Maya working there socks off, blocking every attack from Bearsted, but the hard ground & bouncy ball was the problem which Bearsted adapted well  only to get behind our defence again, Fionnuala reached it in time to kick it out for a corner, Bearsted stepped up a curled in a brilliant corner only to find the far side of the goal 3-0 Bearsted, Gravesham got caught ball watching. Gravesham maintained possession for a while with Jess battling hard and Mog finding good positions, only to see her chance deflect & sail wide, Alex stepped up for the corner, a lovely floating ball to the penalty spot found the feet of Graveshams captain Daisy, who was not letting this one pass her, she struck it so well the pegs for the nets came out!!!! 3-1 Bearsted. Gravesham see some light, but that was soon turned off by another break from Bearsted down the right for their girl to smash a shot at Bex which she blocked well, unfortunately for Bex she & the ball was behind the line, and Bearsted got there 4th, 4-1 Bearsted. Rich couldn't  wait for half time, to have a good chat, WHISTLE BLEW HALF TIME.

After a good talk, the girls were ready, they new wot they had to do!!, Daisy and Georgia, was linking good play with DL who had her head down and getting stuck in, a ball broke free for Alex to out pace the defender and smash her shot across goal and narrowly missed, Bearsted's goal kicks were now finding Georgia who again controlled the midfield at this point, Daisy now  linking play with Mog, who broke clear thru only to drag it wide, this was a promising & better start for Gravesham all Bearsted could do was lump it up field only to be controlled by Tats and Sav, playing it back to Georgia who now found a long pass to Alex only to run out for a throw in, Bearsted throw in found Daisys head and looped over the heads for Alex to run on to but Bearsted had it covered, and cleared it for a corner,Alex again a lovely corner found daisy swiping her foot at the ball only to take a wicked deflection and find Bearsted's net, 4-2 Gravesham was right back in it, Megan Naish having a good game returning Bearsted's long ball back to them. With 10 mins to go it was all Gravesham it was like we had 11 warriors on that pitch, they were not giving up, Mog running thru on goal only to put it in the keepers arms, the ball came straight back to Bearsted who was finding the bounce difficult as well, with Alex finding her self having 2 shots herself, one narrowly going wide & the other, the Bearsted keeper saved it, it rolled out for a Graveshams corner, after allllllll the lovely floating corners Alex took, this wasn't the best one, but it fell for Georgia who scuffed it, the ball found daisy who cheekily side footed it into the net, 4-3 Bearsted with Time running out fast all Rich could do was spur the girls on..... Ohh he wasn't the only one, it was like Old Trafford on the side line, everyone new we could pull this off.
Bex with her big kicks, Gravesham was finding areas that was troubling Bearsted, the ball bounced in Bearsted box, only to be chased by what looked like a swarm of yellow shirts, alex, Mog, daisy, Georgia, DL, Jess, wanted to bag the equaliser, with the ball hitting the crossbar, 3 goalmouth scrambles & 3 shot taking the paint of the Sunday roast, Graveshams parents were nearly shouting the ball over the line, but it was not to be, with the whistle blowing for full time, it didn't matter to much the score at the end, every girl came off that pitch putting in 100% in that second half, they was warmly welcomed off the pitch with a great round of applause for there valiant effort, well done girls, with Georgia winning player of the match and supporting a black eye for her effort.

Gravesham Girls 5
Walderslade 1

Graveshams cup campaign was here, after having an early exit last season, Gravesham  wasn't going to take this lying down, Gravesham at home on their new pitch was playing Walderslade, after many meetings, Gravesham new this would be a tough game, whistle blew for the start, straight into action was Georgia taking on their midfield to chip a ball thru to Mog which see her in space to rifle one wide, this was a promising start the girls looked up for it, with some great passing between Georgia & Jess was causing trouble for Walderslades defence which Walderslade dealt with down the right Gravesham had Zoe & Alex making great passes to each other, again to be met by Walderslades keeper. Big kicks from there keeper was finding our courageous midfielder Georgias head  playing it straight back to them, Walderslade attacked our defence which was met by Graveshams brick wall consisting of our 2 strong centre backs Tats & Sav joined with Maya on the right & Megan on the left dealing with everything that came there way. Strong play see Maya pass to Zoe to hold of Walderslade and wait for alex to come bursting thru the ball found Alex for her to smash one against the bar, Gravesham having most of the play, playing the ball round well & finding space. A week kick from Walderslades keeper found Georgia, who found Daisy on the edge of the box, who wasn't missing, she struck it with control the net bulged 1-0 Gravesham, yet again Gravesham attacked, but repeatedly stopped by walderslade defence, another run from Zoe found alex, again she broke thru to find herself 1 on 1 with the keeper after last weeks handful of misses and plenty of practise at training she struck it with venom left hand side, 2-0 Gravesham, again with some great control from the midfield was making it easy for alex & Mog to find shooting possission, with georgia winning everything in the air and Jess and Zoe running wild down the lines, it looked good to watch, Jess suddenly broke thru to have a shot only to find the Walderslades keeper, a long kick see the ball find Lucy from Walderslade which was causing some problems with Megan n, she took on Megan to be left 1 on 1 with Bex who came steaming out only to see a great effort find the Graveshams net, 2-1 Gravesham. The ball passed around well by Gravesham see Zoe have a attempt which found Walderslades defender, only miss kick her clearance to Georgia who struck a lovely shot, only to hit the cross bar and go on the pavilion roof, nooooooo was the cry from Rich, that was a brand new ball, so another brand new ball was introduced a run from Maya released Alex for another run she crossed it in, only to be cleared by Walderslade, the ball rolled out for Megan n to step up and strike a shot, just missing, Walderslade goal kick found Tats who battled hard to keep the ball & played in Mog, only to have her shot blocked & roll out to Georgia she smashed it hard............ And found the pavilion roof again!!!!!!, rich went down holding his head  (laughing), PRACTICE ball number 3 came into play as rich had now run out of match balls, HALF TIME blew.

The second half got under way with a change, Megan n was replaced with Fionnuala who's pace could keep up with Walderslades number 11 after 15 mins Alex shouts over to rich and says I need to come off I'm not well, with savannah leaving at half time due to other commitments we had no subs, Alex came off,Gravesham was down to ten girls, which Walderslade made the most of  attacking Gravesham with some good movement, Walderslade got thru, Bex see her chance and came racing out & break down the attack, after ten mins Alex head was clear, she wanted to come back on, with another strong play by Zoe releasing Alex, who out paced her defender to drill one into the left hand side of the goal, this was the goal rich talked about at half time, 3-1 Gravesham. Still walderslade battled hard with some good passing which lead to Lucy number 11 beating the defence only to have Fionnuala at her ankles they both fell with Lucy coming of worse unfortunately with a damaged wrist which see her leave the field, play continued with a massive goal kick to be flicked on by Georgia to find daisy, some great skill to see her do her stuff with taking on the defence and slotting her second goal home,4-1 Gravesham, a few attempts from Walderslade see Bex come alive a deal with them. Gravesham still having most of the possession with a couple of cheeky runs from Maya, the defence doing there job well breaking down Walderslades attacks, another long kick from Bex, see the ball bounce over to a Walderslade defender who miss controlled it, only to be followed up by Mog who won the tackle and casually side footing the ball into the right side of the goal passed the keeper, 5-1 Gravesham this was the end result with the ref blowing the whistle, all girls looked very happy with the result, they were greeted off the pitch with a warm round of applause from the parents & rich, well done girls a great performance on their new ground, with Jess winning player of the match for her grit and determination, well done.

Anchorians 2
Gravesham Girls 4

Gravesham girls turned up to yet another away game to Anchorians it was going to be a very hot day, the sun was shining, we just hoped the girls will be at the end. Kick off was under way, with a 4-3-1-2 formation, we knew we had an attacking formula, Alex to Mog, straight away Georgia was in action with a little chip over, to release Mog to attack Anchorians defence, with some great passing, from daisy & Jess, only to be cleared by Anchorians defence. Anchorians had signed some new girls which was causing trouble in the midfield, but with Maya, Jess, Georgia, & Daisy, we had a strong midfield, which they controlled well, Maya playing in right midfield, with absence from Lacey & Zoe, Maya was doing her job, taking on their midfield, to play a lovely thru ball to Alex which she out paced their defence only to smash it wide.
Time & time again Alex broke thru, narrowly missing every time, Alex was getting frustrated, she broke thru again to play a back pass to Maya who crossed it in and found Mog on the edge of the box, with her twinkle toes, got behind Anchorians defence to side foot one in the left hand side of the net, 1-0 Gravesham, the sun was beating so hot, it didn't seem to bother our girls, and our defence, well... Tats, & Sav our two very strong centre backs, with Fionnuala on the right, and Megan on the left, so far left Bexs nothing to do as they were dealing with every ball, Savannah was having a great game, getting stuck in, with one of Tats passes straight thru to Georgia,  whos pin point pass found Mog, Mog pulled it back to daisy, who had a run and beat the defender to rocket one in the net, 2-0 Gravesham. Gravesham was in full control of the game, DL was introduced to the game, to replace a tired Maya who worked her socks of, DL got straight into action winning the ball a constantly tackling, this girl don't give up. A long kick from their keeper was causing some trouble on the bone dry pitch with it's big bounce, and when it did beat Graveshams defence Bexs was there ready, HALF TIME.

The second half see more attacking from Anchorians, by them playing 3 upfront, Tats & Sav had it covered, playing it straight back out to Georgia, again letting Alex out pace the defence to rocket one on to the next pitch, it wasn't going to be her day, some good play lead to Anchorians getting a corner, the ball was chipped in the box only to bounce pass Megan, Tats, Bexs, and Sav it hit no-one and Gravesham see the ball roll in the net,2-1 Gravesham, Mog, Daisy, & Alex repeatedly attacking and shooting to get no reward, Daisy new she could get something, with a great run down the line from Alex who put in a lovely cross to find Daisy eagerly waiting, she caught hold of it well the net bulged 3-1 Gravesham. Achorians had a game plan kick & rush, which worked this time, with a big kick from their keeper which bounced into the box, not sure what happened but Anchorians were awarded a penalty, it looked like a big stumble, but the referee said it was a push, and pointed to the spot, the girl stepped up, Bex was ready arms out, giving her opponent crazy legs like Bruce grobbler..(old Liverpool goalkeeper that used to try and put off the penalty taker, with spaghetti legs), the ref blew the girl struck it well mid height for Bex to get to her right and saved it, but only for an Anchorians player to follow it up, Bex got a hand to it but unfortunately it slipped past her gloves,
3-2 Anchorians were back in it. Gravesham where looking tired with only one sub Rich kept shape and the girls kept on passing & moving well, with only ten min left, Gravesham needed one one to settle it, with breaks from DL, only to find the keeper, Jess nearly getting one, but only yet again to find the safe hands if Anchorians goal keeper, the ball remaining in the Anchorians end, Gravesham won a corner, Alex was putting great corners all afternoon this won was headed out by the Anchorians defence only to find Graveshams top scorer.. Mog on the edge of the box with a great right foot side volley flew straight over the keepers head, what a great goal!!! Big smiles all round as the hard work paid off, Mog came off with 5 mins to go to allow Tats time up front to grab some glory, the ball bounced thru to Tats who had a valiant effort only to find the keepers hands, the whistle blew full time, 4-2 to Gravesham the girls worked very hard in that heat, with great defence & midfield, passing, it was great to watch. With Savannah winning player of match, for her great blocking and passing out from defence, well done again.

Vinters 5
Gravesham Girls 4

G.G.F.C. U14’s turned up to Vinters and was awarded sunshine and a nice pitch to play footie on, we knew Vinters wanted revenge, with the twins back at Vinters they were ready to take us on.

Kick off started Vinters straight in attacking Alex and Mog kick off the ball pinged around like total football with Lacey wide right and Jess wide Left, using the wing to attack we broke early leading Lacey’s pin point pass to Alex left her blasting it wide, the ball went back and forth with Georgia not allowing the ball behind her with only 3 at the back Fiounnala, Megan N and Miya playing centre back which left Tats to contain our problem Yes Amanda,

Vinters attacked and attacked with Tats staying in Amanda’s pocket frustrating the Vinters attackers, a through ball from Vinters left Amanda out running Tats to toe pock the ball into Graveshams net 1-0 Vinters, with a solid midfield battle from Gravesham Girls consisting of Georga, Jess and Lacey winning the battle, Vinters were not laying down another ball out wide to guess who yes Amanda, left her turning fionnuala and netting another from outside the box, Bex ’ s had no chance 2-0 Vinters, Gravesham Girls were not out yet, Zoe was introduced to the game giving Lacey a well earned breather straight into action winning the ball with strength and supplying Alex with runs down the line, cross after cross Alex couldn’t find Mog or Daisy, another big kick from Vinters keeper left it bouncing over Gravesham’s midfield and leaving Vinters to break Gravesham’s defense to smash home another great goal not even England No1 could have saved that 3-0 Vinters. Richard and Parents were trying to get the girls going, suddenly a great ball from Jess released Mog into shooting distance (she wasn’t missing this chance) goooooaaal 3-1 Gravesham’s heads lifted again giving them hope.

A Vinters corner came over to find one off the twins who took on Maya to find the back of the net again bex was just out of reach 4-1 Rich couldn’t wait for half time to blow up eagerly awaiting his team talk, unfortunately Vinters broke straight away only for Amanda to use her skills and put another one in the Gravesham net Bex’s was left helpless as all goals were class

Half Time

Richards team talk had given them hope they all believed they could get something from the game, straight from kick off we found our passing skills and gave Vinters some problems, a ball passed from Daisy to Georgia, left Georgia placing it in the corner 5-2 Gravesham were back, we saw some great blocking from Megan N left Jess with a run which led to the ball breaking through to Mog, she hit it so well the net bulged, 2 goals in quick succession. Time was running out Vinters attacked but they were found by Maya who was having a good game another run from Zoe left her outside the box to line up another shot which just narrowly missed, again Zoe blocked the ball to release Alex only to drag it wide, Gravesham showing all possession in the second half with corner after corner and narrowly missing Georgia and Daisy’s head, Gravesham was awarded a direct free kick which Georgia turned to smile, she hit it with her laces it flew all the away only to find the safe hands of the Vinters keeper who also was having a good game, with Georgia and Daisy winning the midfield it left our defenders having a rest with runs from Zoe and Jess releasing Alex and Mog just to miss a few chances. A crunching tackle left Fiounnala nursing a slight pull to her groin she was replaced by Lacey who was put in at Right back, 10 mins to go a run by Jess led Vinters into the box a little hop skip and a shot gave Gravesham big smiles as they see the ball hit the net 5-4 this was a courageous come back the girls were looking good, with 1 minute on the clock Gravesham had a corner and Rich called EVERYONE into the box, the corner found a Vinters player only to miss kick it and to leave Lacey with a shooting chance she struck it, it was like time in slow motion the ball passed the Vinters defense passed the keeper only to hit the Sunday Roast and go out of play, Reff blew for full time, a great game to watch with the girls giving everything in the second half, Rich and parents were so pleased with the comeback after a slow start.

Well done girls you deserve something from that game with Tats winning Player of the match.

Swale Ladies 1
Gravesham Girls 11

Gravesham girls turned up to Swanstree Ave, home of Swale Ladies to play their 1st game of the season, the sun was shining, the pitch was in good condition, the girls was up for a hard thought game, going on last season. They kick off with the sun in their eyes straight from the whistle gravesham got straight to work daisy & alex attacking the ball only to win possession, they passed it around to slip a threw ball to mog, which was just out of reach, Swale got the ball wide a few times only to be met with graveshams solid back four, consisting of fionnuala, savannah, tatjana, Maya, Maya picked the ball from there attack to feed in Lacey who knocked it down the line into alexs path, for alexs to slot it in the opposite corner for her 1st goal of the season. Straight from kick off we won the ball only to lose it again, with a big kick over our midfield for Swales forward to latch on to it, into the net 1-1 the lead was cut short, but spirits were high!!. Again gravesham attacked with some lovely play from Georgia, daisy, only to find there defence, which a ricochet over to mog who was clear on goal, mog slotted home goal number 2, 2-1 gravesham, with some great defending and covering, not alot was getting thru to Bexs in goal with some big kicks from Bex, only to be contolled by Georgia who had great vision, she chipped it into alexs run to be backed up by zoe, just out of reach, unfortunately to bounce up and hit the defenders hand.. Penalty!!! Everyone looked at each other, and Rich was shouting it's Daisys dession, which she chose alex, who stepped up calmly to place it into the bottom left, 3-1 up and the girls looked confident. Zoe got straight in to release alex, a cross came over to find mog who found the net, 4-1. The girls wasn't finished, DL was introduced, had missed a lot of training, due to her party lifestyle, but she looked great winning tackles. Gravesham had alot of the possession  with jess, Georgia, daisy & Zoe  controlling well, then suddenly daisy with her new boots won it on the edge of Swales box to smash it home.. 5-1. Again gravesham on the attack with great use of DL passing down the line to link up with Mog once again who squeezed the ball in the left corner, 6-1. Swale attacked and broke thru only to be met with Bexs steaming out to slid onto the ball comfortably covered by Tats & sav who worked well as centre backs, Bexs big kick were becoming a prob a lucky bounce over onto a running daisy who took an early shot her 2nd goal and a good one, 7-1..the whistle blew HT.

The second half saw jess get straight into action hassling their midfield and coming out on top, narrowly missing the net herself, Jess was playing well, Swales goal kicks is were we got our next goal with Mog smashing one in for her 4th.. 8-1. Again Gravesham attacked the kick off only to find daisy with a nice trick on the edge of the box to find the net,  9-1. Lacey was introduced up front within minutes she had possession just out side the box & cracked one, for her 1st goal, 10-1. Time was running out Georgia was itching to get on the score sheet, a free kick just inside the centre circle, no one else was having this, she asked the ref, it was direct, rich could see her smile as she placed the ball down, a well struck free kick saw the ball ruffle the net she was happy as a 6 year old in a sweet shop,11-1 final score, a great day for the girls, with Georgia winning player of the match.
